Rose Coloured Glasses

by RCM   Nov 2, 2006

If we could change places for just a day
There'd be no black or white just a lot of grey
The rose coloured glasses you've worn so long
Will soon be replaced with vision so strong
You'll see people hungry, countries at war
The world in a turmoil and so much more
My heart will cry out you'll feel my pain
Over and over with nothing to gain
They say noone knows what another will feel
This is your chance to touch something real
But wishing and hoping won't make it come true
This can only happen when left up to you
I promise, I care, I offer my heart on a plate
I don’t want this to be another mistake
Everything about you makes me feel good
But even then I’m concerned on whether I should
I look in your eyes feel the touch of your skin
Over and over you keep me wondering
What would you do if you were me?
If I were inside your body what would I see?
Maybe the rose coloured glasses aren’t on you
Maybe I’m wearing them when it comes down to you
Maybe just maybe I should open my eyes
Stop fantasising or at least give it a try
Maybe I’ll see you for the way that you are
And maybe just maybe I can hook on your star
