Williams Life

by Vonnie McHugh   Nov 3, 2006

He was a lovely little lad,
Sometimes good sometimes bad,
His hair was golden red,
Some of the kids called it ginger instead.

When he was 10yrs old,
An illness struck him that left everyone feeling cold,
The last year he has fought his best,
Putting his parents faith to the test.

Last week he gave up his fight,
Late late into the night,
This little lad could fight no more,
He has left to be with his Saviour.

His parents are so distraught,
As this deal was the worst they could have got,
My thought are with them at this time,
William is an Angel above that shines

For a Little boy whom I had the joy of meeting while teaching in school

Hey, This made me cry. I just lost a friend named William to cancer recently. Very well-written. So sad...I am sorry for your loss. I am glad you could know him enough to write a poem about him. It means he touched your life in a way. Great job on this poem.
