Blue Colors

by xxEvilAngelxx   Nov 3, 2006

There are blue colors,
When you stand by me.
I'm the one who let you down.
Now I can't live a day
Seeing your face,
For the pain swells deep in my heart.

May you forgive me?
And let us put it behind,
Or let it fix itself.
I wish to pretend it's a dream gone bad.
Hoping that someday I will awake.
Until that day comes I weep myself away,
And try to carry on.

Suddenly I see:
This guilt I have separates us.
There is no way together will work.
When our eyes lock,
Nothing but tears come,
As I think of what I did to you.

Even if someday you forgive me,
I will never forgive myself,
Blue will not vanish,
And we cannot be.

Wow. You put a lot of deep emotions into this poem. I know how it feels to feel guilt in your life and I have had my fair share of it too. :) Great flow and great choice of wording. You've got a lot of talent as a writer, keep it up! 5/5

I liked the use of colour to enhance the mood. I loved the final stanza I feel it summed up the theme of irredeemable guilt well.

Very well written, towards the end I felt the flow was not as good though. The rhymes were great. Keep up the good work.

    Peace, Joe
