Brother

Brother, when you were younger I would always think
People will admire the man that you will be
We grew up with nothing, yet you were always strong
So now I wonder what went wrong

Brother, you held such a bright future, we were all so glad
Now you are so stupid, it makes us hurt and mad
High school, so simple for you, you did not complete
Now as a man, all you do now is lie and cheat

We tried so hard to make you stand on your own
But all you do is whine, and now nothing have you shown
Jobless, Drugs, bad friends, and now a child, all you do is spend
Brother you are crazy wild, for your family please let it end

You and her, both drowning and how can we help?
Worried with frustrations is all we have ever felt
We love you both, but each time we help, do you not learn
So how can we at this point, be support for you both to turn?

The worried nights and the tears you stole
We can help with money and time, pull you from the whole
But next to it you both will dig something much more grand
So even we can't help to pull you both out again

Brother, you both see it coming yet you do not stop
You are no longer children; please grow up!
For your child's sake, please pull it together
Or both of you will surely, lose him forever
