Alone

by Kelly   Nov 5, 2006

Walking down the misty night street,
Cold, hard rock,
Beneath my feet.

The freezing wind numbs my face,
I look like a doll,
Porcelaine with grace.

People smile as they pass by,
but hardly notice,
the tear in my eye.

They swirl around me,
self-absorbed,
I'm feeling numb, I'm feeling bored.

I stand there dumb,
not sure what to say,
I have nothing incommon with them anyway.

Their ignorance engulfs them,
I just stand and stare,
I'm silenced again by what I hear.

They need you God,
I know they do,
Help your light in me to shine through.
