Brightly Shining Light

When the darkness surrounded me he was the brightly shining light that came to my side and rescued me on the ground, by the fire, on that cold and starry night. He took me in his loving arms and let me know that he was there. He'll never understand the way he makes me feel or how much I really care.

When our lips met for the very first time I couldn't breathe or think or see. It was like the frightening world had disappeared but somehow he was still there with me. Lying in his loving arms so close to the raging fire, his touch was burning against my skin... or maybe the fire wasn't raging.. maybe it was our feelings from deep with in.

I'll never be able to explain it, the way he makes me feel. Sometimes I think I'm walking throught a dream. There's no way he could be real. How can an angel as sweet as him be so far from Heaven? It's the place he calls his home. He doesn't belong in my fiery pit. It's no place for an angel like him to roam.

He doesn't understand what I see in him and he doesn't think he ever will, but he's taken up a space in my heart that I thought was impossible to fill. I think of him always. He is always on my mind. My guy really is one in a million. A person like him is hard to find.

He walked into my life when everything was wrong and somehow he made things right and no matter what happens in our future together I'll never forget our time together, on the ground, by the fire, on that cold and starry night.
