Reflection

by Blackthistle   Nov 6, 2006

Like a sheet of glass
All crystal clear
A single drop,
A single tear.
A fallen dream,
Of some lost fire.
A moment's pause
A dreaded beat,
The loneliness
Beneath the feet.
And then it falls
Never to rise,
Never to drip,
The last tide,
Before the rip.
A heart broken,
A young teens tears,
From missing him,
From some strange fears.
A night of burning desire
Wishing you were here,
Then to bed I retire,
The last nocturnal near.
I look across the darkened room.
The sheet like liquid reflects the fire
The burning catches further on,
Holding me within it's warmth.
I stare through to the mirror,
Hoping just to see myself
But when I look through my reflection,
I see someone else.

I know there are some people waiting for more like this from me.. But this might been a one-shot deal. Just tell me if my others are as good and I'll remove this little footnote.
