Dad

by Rebecca Young   Nov 6, 2006

Don't cry it'll be alright.
Your tears will dry
He'll see the light
You've got others who love you
You can't quit now

Keep on pushing through
Just train yourself to look the other way
Daddy isn'tabove your vision now
For once it won't be a cloudy day

He can't lie anymore
If you don't talk to him
It's time to just ignore
The promises he breaks

To make your family suffer
He left us behind
Made getting by tougher
Forget he was a hero in your eye

You were proud to call him dad.
Now the sound of his name makes you cry
