The Hour of Sadness

by Taylor   Nov 8, 2006

And in silence,
all of creation stood
at the feet of the King.

A horrible sound
crept into the heavens,
as faint as the rustle of leaves.

And yet, it felt
as if I was the one screaming.

For he would not deafen
the ears of his childen
to the cries of those to perish.

We could have helped them.

I gaze up at my father,
angry and hurt,
so miserable for them.

But as I looked to him,
I saw tears stream his beautiful
face.

And all of creation mourned.
