Deep in the Corners of My Mind

by Dana   Nov 8, 2006

Deep in the corners of my mind
where evil creatures lurk
and lost worlds are as empty
as a Monday morning church

some creatures feed on blood
other on human souls
if you look one creature in the eye
you'll see the evil it beholds

they laugh at the pain of others
and find sheer joy in death
they rant and rave with excitement
with a person's final breath

deep in the corners of my mind
is the deepest and darkest of night
the darkness will surround you
like a flock of birds taking flight

you mustn't be afraid
the creatures of the night smell fear
they'll sneak upon you and strike
your sullen screams, they'll hear

someone once entered the darkness
they were never to return
but you can still hear their screams
the creatures, in Hell, they'll burn

maybe you'll think twice before you enter
you'll never know what you'll find
the creatures are here waiting
deep in the corners of my mind
