Poisoned Roses.

by erin   Nov 9, 2006

Our friendship was like a poisoned rose.
It looked so beautiful, but inside we were foes.
We said we'd be there till the end,
We even told each other we were best friends.

We laughed that we'd grow old together,
Instead our bond drifted away like a feather.
You wanted to become the it girl,
And all the things that had made us hurl.

You would do whatever it took to be queen bee,
Like talk about your friends and make believe.
But I wasn't worried about looking cool;
So you got back at me by saying I was in love with a fool.

Finally I said that I had enough.
You were no longer a person that I could trust.
Our friendship thrown into the raging wind,
Making a shrieking noise upon its sin.
