Stars shining bright

by Mark   Nov 10, 2006

As I gaze upon the gleaming stars,
I see myself, behind the scars.
The yellow gleam shining upon me,
Will forever stay, as I smile with glee.

The stars tell stories with their patterns,
And in the distance I can see Saturn.
The stars only shine at night,
Gleaming down so yellow and bright.

I never take the time to just sit and stare,
As I take in the moments we share.
I'd love to be able to keep one myself,
Put it away where it fits nicely on my shelf.

Every night I'll come out to see,
The stars slowly appearing as I kneel on my knee.
I spot one, two, three then four,
I just lay, as I see more, and more.
