Street lights

by dying beauty   Nov 11, 2006

Streetlights flicker as I look out at the mid night sky
I watch time fly right before my eyes.

Nothing else to do now that you're gone,
Nothing except wait for night to turn to dawn,

I would say I'm waiting for you to come back and be mine,
But I am only waiting to pass the time.

I know that waiting for you is pointless and a waste of time,
But when I'm with out you I don't understand what goes on in my mind.

I will be here forever incase you want to come back,
I'll be here staring at the streetlights as they turn black.
