To the father of my child,
I say, thank you,
For life & happiness,
I was never untrue.

I know I hurt you,
I say my words
I say thank you,
I say sort in my thirds.

Thank you for being there,
Thank you for loving me,
Thank you for making me happy,
I thank thee.

I'm sorry I pushed you away,
I'm sorry for every bad moment,
Every word,
Every argument.

This wasn't meant to happen,
I can't take it back,
But I can be there,
As a friend, to take the smack.

This is our chance to mend,
Our friendship,
To have hellos and goodbyes,
While we slip.

I'll always love you,
That's all I'm going to say,
Child or not,
Come what may.
