The girl in the mirror

by Emma Brown   Nov 13, 2006

The girl in the mirror is naughty.
She cuts herself and cries.
She hurts a lot of people.
She always lies.

The girl in the mirror is naughty.
She breaks her own heart.
She loves someone that hates her.
She tears herself apart.

The girl in the mirror is naughty.
She bleeds and is so sad.
She does not know anything about love.
She treats people as though she is mad.

The girl in the mirror is naughty.
She lives her life alone.
She does not care about herself.
She cannot call anywhere, home.

The girl in the mirror is naughty.
She cannot breathe, she cannot see.
She sits alone all day and all night.
That girl in the mirror is me.

Oh wow...this is one of my favourites on the site.
The line that really got to me was 'That girl in the mirror is me.'
I can really relate to this poem.

It was written beautifully, and I enjoyed the wording and rhyme scheme and imagery muchly.

    I loved everything about this.

    A well deserving 5/5
