The Man You Should've Been

He always makes me smile,
and he always makes me laugh.
He makes it a bit easier
to put you in my past.

He's the one who walked right in
as you were walking out.
He held me & he caught my tears,
and quieted my doubts.

He's the one who's there for me,
the one on which I cry.
He the one who held my hand
and gave me strength to say goodbye.

He loves me without circumstance,
he always stands by my side.
He's not like you- when times get rough, he doesn't run and hide.

He the man I needed most-
the man you should've been.
God knows what I would've done
without him- my best friend.

I love you Michael! Whenever my ex and I would fight, Michael would be there for me no matter what. He always listened to me and gave support when I needed it the most. I wish I could be half as good a friend to him as he has been to me. It is because of him that I was finally able to let go of the pain of my past relationship and let someone else into my life. He is the best friend anyone could ask for and I LOVE YOU MIKE!!!!
