If I Was Like The Rain

by Kalgalath   Nov 15, 2006

If I was like the rain,
Could I connect two hearts?
Like the sky and earth are connected,
Even though they never touch?

If I was like the rain,
Could I cleanse your wounds?
Like the rain falls,
And washes away dirt?

If I was like the rain,
Could I quench your thirst for love?
Like the rain always fills,
Dry, cracked riverbeds?

If I was like the rain,
Could I make you grow?
Like the rain waters flowers,
And helps them grow?

If I was like the rain,
Could I connect our hearts?
Like how we say we like each other,
Even though we never see one another?

Well i thought you did a pretty good job on this. im just not seeing how this is getting a 3.5! stupid downvoters. well, i think it deserves at least a 4 or a 5. the ending wsnt as strong as it could have been, but the rest of the poem was really nice. so im gonna give it a 5/5
