To My Love, Alicia

by Electric Monkey   Nov 15, 2006

Though all the world around us fall,
And the voice of death to us doth call.
Our love will grow and give us life
Throughout this world's obnoxious strife.

To hold you here forever, I dream;
This moment too quickly doth pass it seems.
I care not should the earth fade away,
For if I have you, I will e'er stay.

All empty and vain this life would be
Should you quit this world, leaving me.
Preserve my life forever, my love
Though we ascend to the stars above.

I long each day to hold you here
In my arms forever, my dear;
I would ne'er let go to lose you again
Through strife and anger and pain.

Life itself would never be sweet
Lest you were in it on my heart's seat.
Each day I yearn more for you,
More than I ever thought I knew

Until that day when we are one
And from me no more are you are gone,
I will wait for you in all patience
And look for you coming back again.
