Their Story.

by CondescendingHeart   Nov 16, 2006

Her heart beats faster,
Realizing what she's done,
What she defended so hard,
He finally had won.

Waking Up Ashamed,
Knowing that she'd lost,
He had beat her for the second time,
With her dignity at cost.

Knowing he wouldn't even speak to her,
They next day he walked by,
He would just turn away,
And Wouldn't Reply.

Her heart had broken,
As she pretended she didn't care,
Realizing it was just a game to him,
One more life affair.

A kiss on the cheek,
Some shots and a flat,
Got her telling secrets,
And where he wanted her at.

Years of temptation,
From the boy of her dreams,
Knowing she wasn't good enough for him,
And all that he seems.

Her Guard finally slipped,
And he got the best of her,
Not able to remember anything,
The night left as a blur,

Now he's faded from her mind,
But their secret she'll always keep,
He told her that he loved her,
As they slowly fell asleep.

That definately kept my attention. You lead from one stanza to the other very smoothly and yet still left us wanting more. Great job!
