The Power

by Tricia   Nov 16, 2006

If the world could only see,
How bad it likes to treat me.
Surrounded by all the harping,
Enveloped in all the guilt.
Yet enticed by the love of one,
The love only I want to bear.
We're disregarded by everyone,
Treated as if we are outcasts.
As days pass us by,
Our love grows stronger.
Not anyone wants to be us,
Yet everyone wants what we have.
When we count our blessings,
We find that we have only each other.
That's all we ever had,
That's all we ever want.
Don't mess with us,
Our love will over power you.
