The Gap

by Blackthistle   Nov 17, 2006

Though my heart burns with an endless flame,
I'm finding it hard to see through the pain.
I'm looking about in the dark,
Hoping to find an object or mark.
But I'm alone cause you laugh when I cry,
You joke about when I die.
I'm trying to bridge the gap,
But I guess I'll give up,
Cause you never try.
You used to be there,
Now I look around and wonder where.
I'm looking around for a friendly face,
But in this world where is my place?
My heart is scarred by your voice,
I'm aching yet you rejoice.
What ever happened to us,
Playing games and having fun.
A fabulous day in the sun.
But now it's gone
I wonder why.
How come our friendship
Had to die?
And slowly, I go too..
