The Proper Dimension

by Shane   Nov 17, 2006

I could measure the circumference of your smile
Or the distance between our hearts
The volume of your eyes or the weight of your touch
Quantify the times you've captivated a moment
Or other such proportions

But those numbers aren't tangible
They will not do, I need to feel
Melt in embrace or caress something real
How deep are your eyes?
Can they contain and fantasize
The promise of a single kiss?

Vanishing is sweeter
When our fingers intertwine
Oh it seems so far astray,
If I could bottle it, look in your eyes
Spill it when your mine
And dissipate away
