On My Own

It feels like my body is weakening,
and my mind will fail.
You weren't ever here for me,
to show me love when I needed it most.
Tell me where you were when I needed support?
I had to deal with it on my own.
It still isn't okay what you did.
But, hey I'm alright.
You see I'm still alive,
I'm still breathing on my own.
I believed the words you said so sweetly.
I never thought you would do me wrong.
Now I see what 'thinking' got me.
Because of you I have learned not to trust very many.
This world is a struggle..
and I'm caught in the middle.
