Petals wilt from roses made of silk

by kiara   Nov 19, 2006

Im trying to work everything out
These sorrows I want to write about
Words flood my brain
Rhythms bounce in my veins
Petals wilt from roses made of silk
This world is fed from the devils milk
Storys of rebellion and crimes are told
The pain of the past grows on us like mold
For it effects the future and of course present
Many words and actions we resent
But what do we do about them?
We cherish them like they are a gem
Even though they are weeds on our delicate lawn
Sure maybe on this board of life we are only a pawn
But we have a mind
And we are not blind
We can change the world
We have the opportunity to make lies be unfurled
We can help each other
We can praise the world and become its mother or brother
Poverty we can help stop
We can wash away desperate tears together with a mop
Hand in hand we can bring along awaited peace
Maybe one day we wont need the police
