The one thing they cannot take.

by Chase Sterling   Nov 19, 2006

My eyes are blind,
I cannot see,
anything, In front of me,
to the ones looking inward,
not looking out,
please stop screaming,
do not shout.

I only see, what's inside me,
and to everyone, who tries to flee,
my mind is lost, my soul is saved,
but without my mind, my soul grows grave.

To the ones looking inward, at my soul,
remember to keep hold of what you own,
your life can be taken, your mind can break,
but your soul is the one thing, they cannot take.
