Red Fall

by Iyla   Nov 20, 2006

Stained leaves falling with the wind
covering the ground as they descend
splashes of color in every direction
the fallen leaves, divine perfection

branches are cold and bare
the smell of fall lingers in the air
the leaves surround me as i stroll
this is where i died, at midnight's toll

the leaves are dieing, their falling
I'm breaking, quietly calling
I'm retracing the steps that once led me
the leaves where bleeding under my feet

i walked over to the glistening stream
and remembered the awful screams
come watch me break down
watch the leaves cover the sounds

i trip with tears frozen in place
i grab my chest, as my pulse races
i lay on the leaves, crying inside
my breath was gone, i closed my eyes

the leaves settle, stained with sin
torn and splashed with red crimson
the trees and leaves whisper to all
warning them of the suicide fall
