Falling From Grace

by Seeker of Truth   Nov 20, 2006

The pain in the passion,
All those souls,
Yearning for a heart to beat with theirs,
Someone to Love them.

They search and don't seem to end up satisfied,
Is all this pain just an illusion of Life?
Just another part of the passion on the stage?
We all hold hands in a circle of betrayal and truth.

When we all fall down,
Then we give up,
And when we give up,
When we've reached the point of death's cold embrace,
When all we can do is sit and stare blindly at the forms passing through time,
That is when Love finds itself, and truth outshines betrayal.

But up to the point of Life's last breath,
As blood pours down our cheeks,
We try and fail that which doesn't work over and over,
Working through the pain, the torment, the longing.

Weep for the children who torment themselves by following a path which will inevitably lead to ruin and more pain. We all learn by trial and error, but it's times like these that make life unbearable. All I ask is, why?

I love this one! It flows really well! Thanks for commenting on my poem. ...We all learn by trial and error, but it's times like these that make life unbearable. All I ask is, why?
... i question the same thing sometimes. What helps me is just knowing that God is in control of everything. You're really good! Let me know when you've written more k?
