I'm Ready

by Brent Hopper   Mar 21, 2004

I think I'm ready for her now.
I'm ready to take my bow.
Step away from this game.
But not to share my last name.
For so long I've been fearing this.
To have that experience.
To care for only one and nobody else.
And for once that person isn't yourself.
Connect on more than raw attraction.
To give my soul that lost satisfaction.
I'm tired of it being one night and done.
I'm no longer afraid, this time I won't run.
I'll let her into my world.
Call her my girl.
Once I'm committed I won't retreat.
If I say I'm her's, won't even think to cheat.
I'm ready to hang my cleats, throw away my glove.
I'm ready to finally meet someone to love.
