It ALL Begins With Contact

by Poetvoices   Nov 20, 2006

Sometimes, with my head on my pillow,
I dream of colors unseen and morbid things.
If only I could wake myself up...
and then I wonder why I slept.

Sometimes, with pen to paper,
I write things that should never come out of a thought bubble.
If only I could express myself otherwise...
and then I wonder why I wrote.

Sometimes, with my back to the wall,
I think about the course of the day.
If only I could go back and change it...
and then I wonder why I thought.

Sometimes, with blade to my wrist,
I wonder what it would be like to die.
If only there was some way to know...
and then I wonder why I wondered.

This for me is one of your more " complete" "put-togather" works, not that all our others weren't, because they were and they were good but this one really sticks with me

it's smooth, and the rythem and rhyme is great, it really flows for me

I can't think of anything that sticks out as a suggestion to change, it's all good for me.

I love the ending "and then I wonder why I wondered" it is perfect and the questions really make you think about the why of the things mentioned in the verses, altogether an amazing work
