Hey Mom

by Bloody Chocolate x Hopeless Romantic   Nov 20, 2006

*you've always put other's feelings first
leaving me to defend myself
then you judge me because i curse
i do it because there's no love potion on the shelf

up to now i know this poem sucks
but the rhymes just don't come out
on expressing family feelings
i guess i have no luck

guess i have no words
strong enough to express my sorrow
i forgive you today
but the pain will come back tomorrow

i say i forgive you
but that doesn't mean the pain is gone
the only thing your insult fulled love words do
is make me feel alone

so mother i'm saying this now
i hope it's not too late
that if you don't change your ways
a life without you i'll have to create*

Wow, strong poem you wrote here. I can also relate to this one, me and my mom fight A LOT!

^ My favorite stanza. I too have trouble writing sometimes because my feelings and emotions are so jumbled up!

Great poem you wrote here! Keep writing. 5/5

I liked this. It was a little jumpy, and didn't flow as well as it could, but overall: very good job. Remember to always capitalize where you need to (e.g. when saying 'I'). Good spelling and grammar is always a key aspect to good poetry.
