A reason

by ellewen   Nov 20, 2006

(intro is lame, but it gets better, give this one a chance)

I watch the sunrise
the birds fly by
at the moment my only Friend seems to be the roof of my club house that I choose to sit upon
So I ask my self as I sit here and wonder
Why is the sky so blue?
(Not that I care about the weather or even the the atmosphere)
Spheres. Why is the world so round? Or all the other planets?
(Not that I care about logic, or even really want to know why. )
Why does the clear ocean water look so blue?
I put some in a jar, and looked at it from a distance, and still no satisfaction.
Not that I care, I just want to fly through time.
I want things to make sense without a reason.
Like I love God.
And I didn't need a reason.

    "I watch the sun rise
    watch the birds fly"

[Sunrise is one word.. and take out the second watch and use 'and' or maybe, write. "the birds fly by"]

Just a thought.. nicely done. Probably not one of your best, but I'm sure you are a talented poet.

As a whole I wasn't overly impressed, but that might have something to do with the fact that I'm not a huge lover of 'non-rhyming' poems. I did like certain parts though, especially the Bracketed lines.

P.S. Thank you for your comment on my poem 'The Evil in my Veins', it was and is always appreciated.
