Across the Sea

by Leah20   Nov 21, 2006

When the sun begins to retire
As the faded man in the moon slowly expires
If you look across the sea
That's where you'll find me
At the end of all things.

As the moon drops from the sky
As a tear forms in the child's eye
When everything beautiful comes to an end
You will find me then
Waiting across the sea

When the sun crashes into the depths of the night
When the frail ones live while young ones die
When life loses meaning
Only countered by the grieving
Of a thousand unheard cries

You will find me then
Waiting across the sea.

It's not quite done, but it's my first attempt at writing in a long while.

It's really deep and has a good sense of meaning! doesn't matter how short or long! the most important thing is the message you're telling and the ideas you're expressing through a nicely written words!

...Wow...the imagery was really cool and well cool. I love the wording which brings out the imagery. It all goes well together and it's something really cool. The first line really grabs attention and then the rest continue adding to it without taking it away.
    'You will find me then
    Waiting across the sea'
I love those lines. It's what kinda adds to the rest of it. Awesome write.
