The Reason I'm Here

by fink   Nov 21, 2006

Lying in bed
In a dark room
Staring at the ceiling
Tears falling from my eyes
Dampening the pillow
Thinking about life and death
Finally coming to the conclusion
I fear living this life and
What comes tomorrow more
Than I fear death
Just wanting the pain to end
While the cuts in my hands
Turning skin and sheets crimson
Falling into a dreamless sleep
Waking up later in a different place
With him by my side
And my cuts bandaged
My cold bandaged hand in his warm hands
Recognizing him
Calling his name with my weak voice
A smile spreading across his face
As he sees I'm awake
The smile telling me
That he's the reason I'm here
He's why I'm not gone
He brought me back

Okay, if you havent noticed, I'm the person that commented on you other poem. If you havent read that comment first, then you won't understand the next sentence. I actually have some thing to write this time.:) I really liked that one, because it explains a dream that i've wanted to come true, but I know it won't. Is that what that poems is, a thought?
That's what I felt it was. But yeah, I can really relate to that. Your good at explianing things. Keep writing.
