Why ?

The grass as green as your eyes were
the coffin as white as a dove
the tears that rolled down my mascara stained cheeks
showed the pain of my recent lost love

could still smell your scent off your jacket
and the gloves that kept me so warm
can still hear the sound of your voice in my heart
even though now my heart is so torn

i remember how tight you would hold me
and whisper your love in my ear
but now i just only have memories
and the thought of your face through the years

now as i stand by your gravestone
i can only think what could've been
how we went so well together
and how only god could've seen

so why did he take you to heaven?
why did he whisk you away?
a place wer only angels could have you
but you have me at the end of the day
