Caught up in a game that no one can win,
Bright lights become so dim,
Poor pawns are always in,
So sad that it's such a sin.
They say they're sorry but it's just a word.
They say it so cold that it can't be heard.
Got to go now darling go on and pack,
But there is no way you're coming back.
Playing in the fields with minds so young,
The rest of their lives only just begun.
Come on over there's no time to play,
Come on darling you're going away.
All this pain has gone far beyond belief,
It's doing nothing but giving everybody grief,
Involved in a fight that's nothing to do with us,
Politics and religion is causing all the fuss.
Parents with their children, enjoying life's air,
But what's about to happen is so unfair,
As the mother hugs her child, and gives the kid a kiss,
They become another number on this evil list.
They have done nothing, but they had to pay.
Another blood lust murder, another black sky day.
Seems like no one can escape, this evil twisted hate.
There is no discrimination in this darkness filled fate.
Now we can only see their faces looking out of a frame,
But it is too painful, it just isn't the same.
We clasp our hands and pray, then we start to cry.
This was no way to say goodbye
