The Coldness

by AliveAndEmpty   Nov 24, 2006

Coldness settles
Deep inside
I shiver
My body convulses

I'm distant
I'm apart
Depression is here
Its coldness spreads

Deep inside
My heart shatters
Too frozen
The ice breaks

I'm nothing
Depression has an everlasting hold over me
I twist and turn
There's no use

I'll never get away
I want to desperately
The feeling deep inside
Won't go away

My stomach churns
He did this
He can't fix it
I want it over with

I kneel down
Pray with all my heart
Then I lay down
Let depression take its hold

The coldness of depression has come
Watch it take over
Watch its hold over me
And watch me give up
