Mistake Of Saying Goodbye

by sherry   Nov 24, 2006

She looks at him,
With those big trusting eyes,
As he wraps his arms around her,
And lifts her off her feet,
She smiles as he lets her down,
But now she frowns,
Since she made a mistake,
Of telling the one she loves,
And now the one she hates,
She told him goodbye,
But now there is tears in her eyes,
She tries to wipe them away,
But they come back stronger each and every day,
She gave her heart out too soon,
Now she feels like a weeping looney toon,
She lies on the concrete floor,
Sitting as far away as possible from the door,
She sits and cries,
As she thinks of how the hell she told him goodbye,
She cant let go,
This feeling she must get rid of,
This feeling she cannot escape,
This feeling is a reminder of her terrible mistake.
The mistake of saying goodbye.
