With This Ring!!!

by Robert Gardiner   Nov 25, 2006

(This is a spoken word poem/song about a man and woman coming together as one in marriage.)

With This Ring I Thee Wed!

{Both}:
(Woman Speaks): "Today is the day that I've waited for, for all of my life."
(Man Speaks): "Today, I'm so Blest, to be able to make you my wife."
(Woman Speaks): "I Pledge, here and now, My Love and Commitment."
(Man Speaks): "I Promise, to you, that My Best Will Be Given,
Forever and Always.
(Woman Speaks): "I Pledge that I'll love you, for the rest of my days."
(Both Together):
"Here, in this sacred place, we commit, to the bond that's shared between us.
UnderGOD and with these witnesses,
We Ever Pledge, Our Love."
(Man Speaks): "I'm so glad, you, I was Kindred and Destined to."
(Woman Speaks): Truly Blest, I am, to get to share and spend my life, with you.
So glad to take your hand in marriage.
(Man Speaks): "I Promise and Pledge, that You, I'll Always, Cherish. "
(Woman Speaks): "We promise, to each other, all that we can give.
(Man Speaks): We pledge, our love, for as long as we both shall live."
(Woman Speaks): "Formal promises, we make, in the eyes of GOD,"
(Man Speaks): "Like to Love, Honor, Support, Nurture, and Value, till death do us part,"
(Woman Speaks): "To be there, for each other, with love, unwavering."
(Man Speaks): "This moment, here with you, it is, worth, savoring."
(Both Together):
"To Have Your Love,
I'm So, Duly Blest.
Of You, I Can't Get Enough.
With This Ring, I Thee Wed."

{The Reverend}:
"Do you take this man, to be your Husband,
Pledge to walk with him, through life, as you share, Love's Abundance?
And this woman, do you take, as your cherished partner,
Pledge to steadfast and faithfully love her,
Until the very end,
To Revere and care for her, with Ardor,
And to never make a departure,
From your promised love and commitment,
For here and now, you make her, your wife.
Do you Pledge to, Love, Adore, and Honor Her for the rest of your life?
Do you Promise to Treasure Her, Cherish Her, and Make Her the Center of Your Life?
And do you both vow to treat each other, with the utmost respect,
To put forth effort, towards the other's happiness,
To do all that you can, to keep God's Holy Union,
To Love each other Faithfully and Hold Steadfast to this Sacred Communion."

(The Woman): "I do!"
(The Man): "I do!"

"Then, you may now kiss the bride.
With the Blessings of GOD, I pronounce you, man and wife."

{The Man}:
"For that one right woman, it seemed, I've searched, a lifetime,
But then, I came upon you,
And everything just felt right,
And I knew, I had found the one who was worth my
Adoration, Devotion, Caring, and Time,
The one, to whom I was Destined, by Love and Fate's Design,
That was set aside, by GOD, to be My Love, Sublime,
And in that Love, I Delight.
Today we make, Lives Individual, One Shared Life.
I commit, myself to you, and take you, as my wife,
And Pledge you, My Love, even in times of strife.
I'm So Glad, to have you, So Blest, that You Are Mine.
Heed, my every word said.
I So, Dearly Love You! With This Ring, I Thee Wed.
Everything, for me, it all starts, right here."

{The Woman}:
"I've heard Fairy-tales, of Prince Charming, and hoped, that someday, it would come true for me,
That I would find that man, with whom I shared, one destiny,
And God, he truly Blest me, for, through Love... Fate... He sent me, you.
I always hoped for the fairy-tale, and now, my fairytales come true."

{The Man}:
"I look forward to our life together and anticipate many beautiful things,
A Mutually Shared Love, Beautiful Family, & So Many other Blessings.
I picture, our future and all the joy that it brings,
So Glad, I have you by my side.
I picture, you carrying our first child, and get, so choked up inside.
I can only see good things, as I look, into your eyes,
And although, I know, there'll be hard times and such.
We can make it through, with our Cherished, Sanctified, Most Sacred Love.
There's no doubt, in my mind, that I was meant to be, with you.
Each moment, together, reminds me, how I cherish you.
So, no matter what hard times that we may face,
My love, for you, it'll, ever, flourish.
It'll be there, always, come what may.
No problems can't be over come, if we work together and pray.
I pledge, my all to you, to give my all, toward, our marriage.
All these things, to you, I Pledge
With Love, Honor, and Devotion, With This Ring, I Thee Wed..."

{The Woman}:
"Now and till forever, Love, Devotion, I Promise you.
I Promise you, My All, and give my all, towards a life with you,
And I look forward to our one shared life,
As we continually grow in our love.
I look forward to the special times,
And the Blessed Moments, to be shared between us,
Like the birth of our very first child.
May this union of ours last forever, and GOD, upon it, smile.
May I be a good Mother, Lover, Wife, Friend, and Confidant,
Always there for you, and someone you can depend upon,
And with all that is within, gladly, I except this ring from you.
Right here and now, I pledge to spend my life, with you.
To a life, with you, forever, I gladly say, I do."

{Woman Speaks}:"I love you!"
{Man Speaks}: "I love you too!"

(Both Together):
Here’s to forever,
Eons of Love, shared, with you.
You're my Greatest of Treasures.
There's nothing more I value.
May This Love Be Ever Blest.
When GOD brought me you,
He brought me, happiness.
I Love you, Infinitely!
Want to Share, Eternity!
To Love and Care for you, ever, My Pledge.
With This Ring, I Thee Wed.

(Closing Both):
Here's to that Sacred Union of marriage and love lasting forever. May we all find, our special someone and live long, happy lives of love together...

I enjoy this write, it brings back memories of the past. This is one of the greatest day in a person who believe in marriage life. You left me thinking. All great memories came back to the surface. Very well written as usual, kel.
