Friendship in Reality

by Sh**tingst*r   Nov 27, 2006

There is a difference between reading about how your friends are supposed to understand you, and real life. The way the book turns out is good, everybody is best friends forever. In reality, it's a whole other world.

People always expect a best friend to defend you, to laugh at every bad or good joke you say, be with you no matter the circumstances, and criticize you without hurting your feelings. This is always a dream among the people. But everybody eventually finds out that this will never come true. Sure, they would defend you, and they would try to be with you, but whenever they start to give advice, it's like aiming and shooting arrows at you, always hurting in the end.

The life of a normal teenager is rough. Teenagers try to stick together to relieve a bit of the pressure. But the stress may not even come from school. It can come from your friends.

Many people don't realize how big an influence your friends can be. And once you and your friends have a fight, it strains your friendship. Sometimes, it never goes away. It can get worse to the case where you don't even know if you can talk it out and start over.

The only thing that you could do is to leave that friend. Well, after you have tried talking. Even though you have had tons of memories and fun, many happy moments when you bonded, special things that you will never find in another person that makes your friend, them. It's so hard you just want to pull your heart out and weep without stopping. You just want to make your friend see what she is doing, why she is doing it, and make her change back to how she was in second grade.
But there is nothing you can do to make her see how she is today, nothing you can do to make them see how much you have suffered from this...nothing at all... except to leave them.

Life is a tough, miserable place when you are without a friend.
