An unforgettable man - my grandpa Earl

An Unforgettable Man- Grandpa Earl

October 10, 2006, a sad and lonely day,
The day your spirit left for good,
Even now I hear your words filled with love and joy.

I didn’t know how short life is until you died,
It feels I only knew you a short while,
But really I knew you 17 years of my life.

The stories I heard are still heard,
The songs are still sung,
Times retold and laughter is still found.

You, grandpa, are a man who will never be forgotten,
Instead you will be remembered as a man of strong will and determination,
Rest in Peace,
Because the lessons remembered from you will be passed down and remembered by generations.

The sadness will leave and happiness will return,
The rain will leave and the sun will shine,
Your memories in our family, however, will remain forever.
