Daydreaming

by Mimi   Nov 28, 2006

I'm still swimming in the past
In the pools of memories
I pretend that they will last
Yearning time itself to freeze.

I am full of wishful dreams
And live in a fantasy.
And when things get hard it seems
I escape reality.

The enchantments now wear off
Illusions are swept away.
All around me people scoff
Therefore my skies slowly gray.

Gradually I learn to live
With my screws all tightened up
Sometimes maybe I misgive
But I'm still learning to sup.

I know the last stanza's a bit haywire but I ran out of rhumes. Lo siento
