The bones of the sea...

by Jenna Balkin   Nov 30, 2006

Rise up from some depths below,
years of time there, left to mellow...

Screens of cobwebs, cover eyes,
echos of anguished and mournful cries,
locked in cages left to die,
forever rotting, there to lie...

Watch them now, as the bones dance free,
across the ground and out to sea,
for many years, longing to flee,
to find their only love to be...

The ancient treasure, that they own,
inside under water caves, left all alone,
through the water, grind the bones,
to find their secret values, that they once owned...

They come across their sacred scripts,
reach broken down and sunken ships,
reach skull and cross bone flags all ripped,
to find their treasure had been stripped...

Bones in anger draw their knives,
to find their thieves and end their lives...

This is very good. I love the imagery you've painted. I can think of several interpretations and that makes this even more striking. Thank you
