Never Fell

I saw a little dragonfly
Flutter through the clouds
He flipped and turned and looked so bright
For he was very proud

I saw a little dragonfly
Falling through the sky
He did not weep, he did not call
Though he would never fly

I saw a little dragonfly
Broken on the ground
He told me not to cry for him
Heaven he was bound

I saw a little dragonfly
Leave this mortal realm
I saw him in the sky again
For the dragon never fell
