At the fork of the road

They stand there
One is dark and a mystery aura around him
The other is light and everything I know and love
These two boys represent two different roads,
Two different destinies that I have to choose from
One leads to my future,
To the unknown,
To new things,
To things I don't understand
The other is the past,
To things that has hurt me,
To things that I want just ran away from
I stand at the fork of these two roads
I don't want to make the same mistake I did in the past
They stand there waiting for me to pick one of them
But they each promise something different
One promises the present just like it is
The other promises me the unknown,
Different future
Something that my heart is aching for
But how can I choose to leave everything I know
To choose this dark, mystery path that is in shape of a man
How can I simply leave everything I know behind?
Could these wings on my back really help me fly?
Can it really take me places?
If so then I donâ??t have to choose between these two men
I'll just let my wings lead the way?
