One last sway

by Keath   Dec 1, 2006

I am swinging through thin air
Waiting for you to appear
But when I'm finally going forward
You are no longer near

The empty spot is marked in mind
Frightened I am swinging back
There is nothing more than treacherous wind
A blank path of my lack

I let you go when you needed me
When you graved for that single thrust
I just let you swing on your own
Your broken face feeding my lust

Now my swinging comes to end
The rope unreliable slowing down
One last chance to seek your face
But, alas, it is too late
There is nothing behind an empty bend
