Please Say You Love Me

by Pain Remains   Dec 1, 2006

Please say you love me,
And that's why you changed,
That's why we stopped speaking,
That you weren't just playing a game,

Please say you want,
I said it to you,
And I meant it with all my heart,
Everything I said to you was true,

I look across the room to you,
You have a smile upon your face,
And I try to see who you're looking at,
And my heart begins to race,

Is it me that you're looking for?
Is it me in your heart?
No, it's the girl behind me,
Again you're after the tart,

I watch as you start getting drunk,
Your eyes go tired and red,
And I then wish it was me,
Who was taking you home and tucking you up in bed,

I would then be lying next to you,
Watching as you breathe,
Your arms are wrapped around me,
As you never want me to leave,

That's what you used to tell me,
Please don't say you have to go,
Come and get back in bed with me,
When you go I feel so low,

But now everything has changed,
Our lives are kept apart,
I keep the memories in my head,
But the love in my heart,

But I really want to tell you,
That my love for you is true,
But if I did you would just freak out,
So what am I meant to do?

So I'll keep my love hidden,
From my friends and from you,
And I hope one day you will find me,
And say you love me too.
