Spring Breeze

*** Wow, as I sit here and type all these out, I realize how much I worte about Tommy, And I realize how much I loved him ***

*** Also yes I realize the first and last line are one and the same through out the poem. Its a type of poem I learned about in creative writing.

A villanelle is a poem of nineteen lines, five three-line stanzas followed by one four- line stanza, usually in lines of either all tetrameter (4 beats) or all pentameter (5 beats), with alternating end-rhymes patterned aba, aba, aba, aba, abaa, and with one other, vital twist. The first, then third line of the poem actually alternate as the last line of stanzas 2, 3, and 4, and then end stanza 5, and the poem itself, as a couplet. What does that look like? Like this: ****

I want to feel free...
Because Im stuck here,
like flowers on a spring breeze.

Can I ever Be me?
unlike my dear,
I want to feel free...

in this endless sea,
I feel these tears,
like flower petals on a spring breeze.

i need to flee,
like the deer,
I want to feel free...

So there i go, Cant you see?
Or cant you hear?
Like flower petals on a spring breeze.

I want to scream,
but this is not the thing i fear,
I want to feel free....
Like flower petals on a spring breeze.
