Black tears upon the face of an angel

by Katie Louise   Dec 4, 2006

The tears that are blackened by the mascara of days,
Thick lines of black in thier eloquent ways
decidently dripping in a slow angry pace
Falling from an angel
with a porcelain painted face
Pained from the misgivings of falling from grace

The abuse that she suffered
Made it hard for her to breathe
the lost track of time, that hurt to retrieve
trying to remember how she came to be,
So hurt she couldnt talk
So hurt she couldnt feel
Over every sentiment she had hidden
That was never to be revealed

Every punch she suffered
Everytime she was kicked
All those times he strangled her
and thought to call her a b***h
The tears she suffered solely from the swelling of her demise
Each one spilled with a story
That was hidden by her with lies
Evrrything was covered, every single trace of blood
The void that suffocated her
Was given to her by love

How do I speak of this angel???
How do I know of this?

Simply because I was that angel, who I speak of
In a mortifying hiss...
