A Blackened Heart

by Poetess Lana   Dec 4, 2006

A blackened heart.
A claim to never feel
emotional pain.
A secret love,
knowing secrets can be shared.
A forbidden romance.
But what she knows not of:
her blackened heart is slowly
being repaired, healed by this
forbidden love...
Unknown healing...
is it possible?

And as she heals,
her blackened heart
turning to red,
ever so slowly,
slowly.
Awaken, sweet maiden,
your forbidden love is
a dream untold.
And she awakens with
a blackened heart,
Bleeding ever so slowly,
slowly,
as her dream world comes
crashing around
her into reality.

But still,
she bleeds,
bleeds from her
blackened heart.
Proving, although some
claim to never hurt,
we all bleed the same way.

This could go in a number of catagories..
It was so bittersweet with a tinge of sadness, mixed with a chilling darkness.
    Excellent wording

This was really dark and sad. It had a strong ending, great descriptions [you are very good at them], a great flow, and is really unique. I love everything about it. Keep it up hun, you have so much talent! 5/5
