Heaven's Angel

Heaven has a new angel today,
His old skin was washed away.
His smile made the darkest day bright,
And his eyes twinkled like a star at night.
He loved his family and they loved him too.
Then it all happened.
They had heard about a crash.
They couldn't believe it was their only son.
But when he went into the bank,
He told her it would be alright.
And it was true.
He risked his life so that she could live.
Some people say that he knew it was coming,
Coming to an end.
He left us broken hearted and sad.
We just couldn't believe it had happened to him.
We wonder why He chose him.
We wonder what he would be like today,
Or tomorrow,
Or even twenty years from now.
But we will never know,
We can only imagine.
But now we know that he is in a safer place.
And that all of his wounds are healed,
No more worries,
No more pain,
No more tears.
Heaven has a new angel today.
